David Schneider is a veteran journalist in television news and documentaries. He spent three decades at CBS News where he was a producer for 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, CBS Reports and The CBS Evening News. From 2002-2009, Schneider was Head of Documentaries at Lucasfilm where he managed a team that produced 100 nonfiction historical films, including the critically acclaimed companion documentaries for the DVD release of The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones. Schneider received the Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia Award Silver Baton for the groundbreaking 1997 CBS Reports documentary Enter the Jury Room which filmed jury deliberations in Arizona. He is also a six time national Emmy Award winner and Peabody award winner. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Investigative Studios, a nonprofit production company dedicated to public interest reporting.
